Why I have decided to NOT design for Word Press.

When I made the decision to switch L. Paull Designs for All from Blogger to Word Press back in February, I had every intention of offering design services for Word Press starting this fall. However, I have changed my mind…and here is why:

I lack the knowledge and the time.

Even though I started working on the switch to WP in February…it didn’t OFFICIALLY happen until July. Several reasons….uhm, I was kind of planning a wedding…priorities. AND I had to learn what in the world I was doing….which is why I can’t offer services. I lack the knowledge, and I lack the time to really learn it. There are SO many possibilities with WP, that I don’t think I would ever be able to understand it fully. My job is a teacher, and I want it to stay that way. I love the connections I make, the happiness I bring to others, and of course the extra income as a blog designer….but it is like a hobby to me, and I can’t imagine giving up my passion for teaching to become a full time blog designer…which is basically what I think I would have to do.

I get emails daily about blog designs. A lot of my clients are new bloggers that are full of questions….with Word Press, I would have questions ALL THE TIME…and I honestly don’t have time to answer all of them.

I also want to get back to designing pre-designs at a lower price, like I used to, because there are SO many aspiring bloggers out there that just want something cute, not necessarily custom! So, I would love to be able to get back to that!

Teaching, Grad School, Family, Coaching. Those are my priorities right now. I simply can’t add more to my plate.
